We are entering a new era in which Lilli is fascinated by little, tiny, chokable things. (eek!) Over the weekend she really liked the metal buttons on Mary's jacket. She would stare intently and then slowly reach out her index finger to touch it, and then try to grab hold of it with her finger and thumb. The baby books call this the pincher grasp or something like that and it's supposed to be a big developmental step because they can more accurately pick up small objects (and thus choke on them). This morning in bed she was mesmerized by my rings which was really cute and a good thing because that will be an easy thing to keep her occupied with in the future when we are out and about and toyless. Plus, since they are on my fingers, she can't choke on them!
