I realize it's been over a month since my last post, so I've missed recounting our endless hospital visits and such. I started contracting a lot about a month ago so I've been on bedrest for a month and tocolytics (drugs that stop contractions) for three weeks or so.

But!

Tonight at midnight I am again a free woman, if but for a short time. I get to stop taking drugs and be officially off bedrest as I will be 36 weeks pregnant as of January 25th. However, I realize after the twins come I will be housebound again for a LONG WHILE. So while I am excited to have made it this far and that the babies are healthy and that everything is going well, I am also TOTALLY FREAKED OUT that as of tomorrow these babies will be allowed to come out if they so choose. They will be in control. I am excited but I am SCARED. I remember all too well the sleepless weeks with Lilli, and now with two!

If these babes do end up coming soon, I probably will not be posting here for a rather long time, or at least until I figure out how to nurse two babies and type at the same time. I've heard it's posssible. So until then, or if they decide to hold off and stay in for awhile (please!), wish us luck! We'll need it!

Pillow talk

Lilli's and my whispered bedtime conversation tonight:

Lilli: This is Lilli's butt.
Me: Yes it is.
Lilli: Poop comes out of there. Poop comes out of butts.
Me: You're right.
Lilli: Butts are ewww. Poop is ewww. Don't touch Lilli's butt.
Me: Poop is eww so it probably is best not to touch Lilli's butt.
Lilli: Not touch poop! No!
Me: Nope.
Lilli: Don't get poop on finger! No!
Me: I'm glad you've learned so much in two years.

Later. . .

Lilli: These are mama's boobs.
Me: yup.
Lilli: Mama has two boobs. No! Mama has six boobs! 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6!
Me: Really? I think it's just two.
Lilli: Six boobs!
Me: well. . .
Lilli: I'm going to take mama's boobs on the road!
Me: huh?
