It's an interesting article, but its premise seems to be that parent blogs are actually narcisstic pleas for self validation. Probably true, but I think the author missed a huge point. All the people that he interviewed (and it WOULD be written by a man) are incredible writers who provide a lot of comfort and solace, not to mention humor, insight, and entertainment, to people who are going through similar things in their lives. He seems to be implying that these people are writing only for themselves and not for their children, but what about all the other parents they're helping. Huh? Huh?
